With over 30 years of experience across the global insurance sector, financial regulation, and capacity building, Dr. Tarek brings a unique perspective at the intersection of finance, sustainability, and governance. Through his leadership at FSI and the Regional Center for Sustainable Finance (RCSF), he plays a pivotal role in advancing sustainable finance, supporting climate action, and shaping the Voluntary Carbon Market across Egypt and the wider region.
A key contributor to Egypt’s carbon governance framework and an active member of international platforms such as IOSCO and GFANZ, Dr. Tarek combines global insight with deep local expertise. His extensive background across leading institutions and regulatory bodies reinforces his impact on strengthening financial systems, governance, and enterprise risk management.
As part of the panel discussion on “Sustainable Facilities in a High-Cost World”, Dr. Tarek will share valuable insights on the role of sustainable finance, carbon markets, and governance in enabling resilient and future-ready facility management strategies.
