Tarek has over 45 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Plastic and Detergents Industries. He has worked extensively in the areas of water treatment, chemical laboratories, Corrosion Management, safety, fire prevention, environment protection, security, food and industrial hygiene, risk assessment and management, training and auditing.
Tarek was involved in participating in and leading external and internal Audits of facilities, drilling rigs, lenders’ audit and accommodations. He has imparted training and developed training courses on safety, environment, leadership, contractors’ management, incident and crises management for companies and for community and industrial sectors in Egypt, GCC & Middle East. Tarek has also worked as an emergency response leader and responded to firefighting requirements for oil spill emergency cases including several marine and onshore incidents in the Egyptian part of Red Sea and the Mediterranean zones.
Tarek was the first to build an industrial hygiene system in Egypt and a Certified Master Root Cause Analysis. He also chairs the PIEPC (Petroleum Industry Environmental Protection Committee), EOGHSE (Egypt Oil and Gas HSE forum) and President of the ASSE Egypt chapter (American Society of Safety Engineers) for 3 years.
