Dr. Khaled Elfarra has extensive experience in the field of Energy and environmental aspects for 40 years. His education and qualifications give him the facilities to tackle the specialty in #energyefficiency (EE), renewable energy (RE), cleaner production (CP) technologies, Circular and Green Economy projects, and integrated waste management.
Dr. Elfarra is the founder and general manager of TARSHEED for #Engineering Consultations since 1999, and currently serves as a part-time Consultancy Services for the Ministry of Environment (Waste Management Regulatory Authority – WMRA).
Dr. Elfarra, along with his experience, has been involved since 2016 in the program for the planning of Municipal Solid Waste Management in Egypt, considering all related aspects, starting from the treatment processes assessment, wastes to energy, and the final disposal of solid waste, having the consideration of circularity and sustainability.
Dr. Elfarra is currently working in developing the efficient utilization of the sludge and digesting systems for wastewater treatment plants in Egypt for firing power generation plants. Furthermore, the solid waste to energy production technologies is one of Dr. Elfarra’s topics and specialty in Egypt.
Dr. Elfarra is the chair of the Certified Energy Manager (#CEM) of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) in Egypt. In this regard, Dr. Elfarra has delivered the CEM courses and certified for more than 1,500 engineers as CEM in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and UAE since 2001 till now.
