Shady is a certified Facilities Management professional holding CFM from IFMA, ProFM from ProFMI USA, and an FM Diploma from Oxford House Learning. With over 20 years of experience in Facilities & Properties Management, Shady is now leading Genpact as Head of Facilities and Real Estate Management, handling full FM & Properties services, including but not limited to Environmental Health & Safety, Security and Crisis Management, Project Management, and Community Management.
Previously, Shady worked for different multinational organizations within Egypt and GCC on both the client and the service provider sides like General Electric, Tetra Pak, Ericsson, Mobinil, and Shell, as well as JCI, JLL & CBRE. Shady also holds certifications in PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Chemical Engineering & Biomolecular from the International Association of Chemical Safety UK, NEBOSH, and IOSH certificates in Environmental Health and Safety from the UK, along with credentials in Assessing Organizational Risks, Managing in a Crisis, and other areas of Security and Crisis Management.
LinkedIn named Shady a Top Facility Management Voice and was selected for the ProFM USA scholarship as the only FM professional across Africa and the Middle East in 2022.
On the social responsibility front, AFRICA FM has appointed Shady to lead the AfricaFM Ambassador Program as Egypt Ambassador and Africa Program Manager. He is participating as a judge with SkillsUSA / FM Pipeline and is currently spearheading Facilithon as the Middle East & Africa Champion.
Shady is a keynote speaker and presenter who has managed and participated in various industry events both locally and internationally. His vision is to elevate the FM industry in Africa and Egypt, and invest in new generations aspiring to pursue careers in FM, creating competent and confident leaders who take decisive steps towards their goals.
